What it sets out to do
The Bachelors of Arts programme is a broad based programme with a mix of disciplinary, interdisciplinary and skill based courses. It has the following objectives:
- Introduce the learners to the main themes and topics of disciplines in humanities, social sciences and sciences,
- Provide the learners with the information and skills necessary to understand and analyse their world,
- Enable the learners to work towards ability and skill enhancement through exposure to appropriate courses.
- Impart reading and writing skills through assignments and exercises of such kind at an undergraduate level.
- Expose the learner to the importance of interdisciplinarity.

What IGNOU charges
₹5,000 for the full programme, paid to IGNOU — separate from anything bought on Degreelo.
Learners opting B.A. Psychology discipline (which has Practicum component) are required to pay an extra fee of Rs.600/- in each year.
Exam Fees is not included in Fee Structure it will be as decided by the University
Where it leads
Learners can pursue higher education-post graduation degree and professional courses. They can appear for competitive exams like UPSC Civil Services, State PCS, SSC, or banking exams for roles in public administration, revenue services, or clerical positions. There are opportunities in Customer Service and Sales, retail, banking, and hospitality, media, publishing, and digital marketing firms.
