BA Major programme in History as per NEP 2020
What it sets out to do
Introduce the learner to the main themes and topics in a discipline of humanities, social sciences and sciences with core and elective courses.
Facilitate the learners to work towards ability and skill enhancement through exposure to appropriate courses.
Introduce learners to reading and writing skills through assignments and exercises of such kind required at an undergraduate level.
Expose the learners to the importance of interdisciplinary by enabling them to offer courses outside their disciplines.

Where it leads
This program will develop interest and understanding of Indian history among students. There are many career opportunities in history. Apart from administrative opportunities, this program provides many opportunities in tourism, archaeology, museums, archives. There is a lot of scope for career in the field of study of culture and research in history. Students can explore various opportunities in the field of history after graduation.
